His ideology matches exactly of the Congress Ideology. There are good and bad sides to it.But I think to say Indian society is fading away the ancient richness is not true. Today we are creating a cultural richness which has evolved from past.I think I have a lot of hope and expectation from India Today.Good write up as usual. Specially I liked the Alexander and Genghiz Khan comparison. Just wanted to know if they were differentiated based on their principles and ideology or just becase of the East West factor. Do you have facts on those.Rishi. Said.Great review!Jawaharlal Nehru was a wrong man who luckily for himself was at the right time at the right place.
If he were born half a century or more earlier, he would have been just a romeo among the flower boulevards of Kashmir. If he were born half a century or more later, he would have been where Rahul Gandhi is now.He is Budhdha reborn, according to some - I believe it. Gautama Budhdha was a 'corrective' element in the history of India (and sanatana dharma) and not necessarily a correct element in the larger scheme of things of India (and Her hoary culture.)School (and even Indian Civil Services exam syllabus) history being based on Nehru's 'Discovery of India' has been as bad to the cultural knowledge of generations of Indians as the schemes of Macaulay.
