I have never personally used intune but i do have a lot for experience with air watch, and i have to say i didnt love it. The setup was someone tedious, but we got it to work, however keep in mind unless you have your organizations IOS devices enrolled in the 'Apple deployment program' you will have limitations on what you can control. Once thats done its a walk in the park. Other note worthy products that are both easy to setup and cost effective that i highly suggest are Meraki Systems manager. They have a nice free trial you can use, and lots of great documentation. I have used so many different ones and they really all have great plus's and minus's in specific areas.
Those areas are dictated by your use and users. I have one client with 50 Surface Pro's.I use Intune for them for AAD, Compliance Audit and simple integration. I have 3 clients who are k-8 schools with about 150 ipads each.for them I use Meraki because it Sync's with ASM, School VPP and has an extensive Education module for Teacher/Class control with the teacher putting all ipads on the same screen during the specific period and group of students.Or being able to see screens of kids, share hers or any kids screen etc. IMHO Meraki is the best all around but you have to look for the right fit. Thanks for considering AirWatch!AirWatch is going to be a full MDM solution by allowing you to add new devices quickly and provision apps and policies without IT needing to get involved every time. For your Apple devices, you can configure devices with the Apple Device Enrollment Program. You'll also be able to configure MDM policies for device restrictions, layout, settings access, notifications, etc.
Based on OS or ownership type (BYOD or company-owned devices). I would suggest checking out the capabilities page on the VMware site:Feel free to message me if you have any follow-up questions!

I can't answer this personally, but you might find user reviews for AirWatch, Intune and similar tools on IT Central Station to be helpful.Users interested in these solutions also read reviews for BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite.
This Infrastructure Engineer writes, 'It allows our mobile users to access email, contacts, calendaring, documents, and collaborate with users, all on their own mobile devices. They no longer need to always have their laptops with them to respond to an email, to edit a document, or to share information with fellow employees, or vendors.'
